The app is available for $2.99 in the app store. This is definitely recommended for anyone who aspires to improve their own ability to identify problem frequencies. If we all got even just a little bit better at frequency identification, sound checks and mixes would improve exponentially! The app will allow you to browse frequency altered tones, noise and/or musical loops to train yourself and then also has a series of multiple choice quizzes where the app plays a loop and you have to identify the problem frequency. There’s an add-on available that adds bass and electric guitar too. Turns out, this app offers everything offered in that Berklee class of mine… in an app!

Categories Complete Ear Trainer, Complete Music Reading Trainer, Complete Rhythm Trainer Remaining features are currently ported (additional sound banks, UI update, etc.) and as soon as it is done, Complete Rhythm Trainer and Complete Music Reading Trainer port will start. Custom programs are of course cross-platform and you can create custom programs for your students that can be joined and played from both Android and iOS devices. On the iOS side, Benjamin Rossi is hard at work on the iOS port and we finally released custom programs for the iOS version of Complete Ear Trainer.
Then, these last few months I added two sections to Complete Rhythm Trainer: Polyrhythms (play and practice any polyrhythm) and Free Practice (write and play any rhythm).
